Come and visit Dredge’s Cottage. A Veterans Recreation Centre, and the only one of its kind in Australia, Dredge’s Cottage features and displays memorabilia covering all theatres of conflict from the Boer War in 1902 to Vietnam.
Housed in an historic building showcasing late Victorian architecture, the centre gives you the opportunity to learn about past wars, and Campbelltown’s involvement in them.
A memorial wall set in the grounds records the names of local servicemen killed in action in two World Wars.
All visitors are welcome. Groups are welcome by appointment.
Tours are available each Tuesday and Friday between 9.30am and 2.30pm. The tours are free of charge, however a morning or afternoon tea can be requested for a gold coin donation per person. Lunch requests are $5 per person. To book a tour, contact John by email or mobile.
