Georges River Nature Reserve

The Georges River Nature Reserve is filled with beautiful scenery, European heritage sites and a rich Indigenous history.

Most of Macarthur’s biodiversity is found within the reserve, including an active and healthy Koala colony.

A popular spot for bushwalking and recreational activities. Frere’s Crossing Reserve, Keith Longhurst Reserve, Ingleburn Reserve and Simmo’s Beach Reserve all feature walks and access to the river.

NOTE: The George’s River Nature Reserve is home to a healthy Koala population. To ensure their safety always keep your dog on a lead and pick up all droppings before leaving.
