In 2002, Campbelltown developed a relationship with Coonamble NSW, as part of the Year of the Outback celebrations.
The relationship was so successful it was made permanent, and continues today to promote resource sharing between councils, and foster a greater understanding between urban and rural Australia.
Each year, Coonamble generously supports the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award through sponsorship of one of the award categories, as well as promoting entry into the award by residents from the Coonamble Shire.
